FADE IN:
EXT. OUTER SPACE - THE BEGINNING OF TIME
All of space is black. There are no stars or any planets. There are no sounds. Only complete silence exists.
A small rock like formation comes into view. It appears only the size of a pebble compared to vast emptiness of space.
Sparse amounts of white light emit from cracks in the rock. The points of light become more abundant and brighter. Suddenly, the rock explodes as the light completely overcomes the rock.
INT. ADAM’S BEDROOM - MORNING - CALIFORNIA - NEAR FUTURE
A man bolts upright in bed, disoriented, and sweating. He is ADAM MEYERS, a handsome young scientist in his mid twenties. He is in fit shape, but his eagerness for understanding has led him to have a nervous habit of developing acute migraines whenever he over comprehends.
Adam relaxes as he turns to gaze out the window by his bed. He looks back down to at his beautiful fiancée, SHARON CORDERO, who also is in her mid twenties. Sharon often acts as Adam’s conscience and strength.
Sharon slowly awakens and sees Adam.

SHARON
Did you have a nightmare again?
Adam is definitive.
ADAM
Yeah.
Sharon sits up in bed and reaches to comfort him.
SHARON
Do you want to talk about it?
ADAM
There’s nothing to talk about. It was just a...silly dream.
Adam pecks Sharon on the lips and gets out of bed.
SHARON
Silly or not, you know you can always talk to me about anything.
ADAM
I know...Gotta get ready for work.
Adam swiftly pulls on the covers of the bed causing Sharon to SHRIEK and almost fall out of it.
EXT. LOTRON CORPORATE BUILDING - MORNING - AERIAL SHOT
The Lotron Corporate Building sits at the end of a long winding road inset on a hillside in California. Even though the building’s facade is pleasant, it projects an ominous feel from its towering size looking down on a residential valley and the Pacific Ocean. The building protrudes into the ground below and behind it.

SERIES OF SHOTS
A) Adam and Sharon drive in Adam’s new looking compact car
through a security gate and into the very crowded employee
parking lot of the Lotron Building.
B) Adam and Sharon pass through security portal doors in the
front of the Lotron Building.
C) Adam and Sharon wear lab coats as they walk along a tunnel
shaped hallway with a futuristic look to it.
INT. OUTER DOOR OF ARCHIVES ROOM - MORNING
Adam and Sharon walk up to a solid steel door with the word ARCHIVES written on it. Next to the door is a small panel slightly larger than a human hand protruding from it.
Adam places his hand on the panel causing a female computerized voice speaks.
COMPUTER (V. O.)
DNA scan confirmed. Access denied.
ADAM
Access denied?
Adam places his hand on the panel again.
COMPUTER (V. O.)
DNA scan confirmed. Access denied.
ADAM
(continuing)
What’s going on? It must be broken.
SHARON
Let me try.
Sharon steps in front of Adam and places her hand on the panel.
COMPUTER (V. O.)
DNA scan confirmed. Access granted.
The door slides open showing a large filing room.

Sharon is smug as she glances over at Adam.
ADAM
I must have fixed it for you.
A security guard approaches Adam and Sharon.
GUARD
Dr. Meyers can you come with me,
please...
SHARON
Now you’re in trouble.
Adam playfully nudges Sharon in her ribs.
GUARD
You’re not in trouble, Doctor.
You’ve been promoted. I’m supposed
to escort you to your new work area.
ADAM
I guess the big boss finally
realizes my potential.
Sharon steps to other side of the archives door.
SHARON
Say hello to your uncle for me.
Sharon purses her lips to kiss Adam, but Adam is too slow to react as the door slides closed in front of him.
ADAM
I’ll catch up with you later.
The security guard remains stalwart.
ADAM
She’s crazy about me.
GUARD
Of course she is, Doctor.
Adam heads down the right side of the hallway while the guard

remains standing by the door.
GUARD
(calling)
This way sir.
Adam heads back toward the security guard and continues walking down the left side of the hallway.
SERIES OF SHOTS
A) Adam and the security guard reach the end of the hallway and
enter into an elevator.
B) Adam peers out the glass plated side of the elevator as
the elevator rises to one of the highest levels of the
building.
C) The security guard, with Adam seated beside him, drives a
motorized cart down a wide spacious corridor away from the
light of the outside and into the depths of the hillside.
INT. OFFICE CORRIDOR - MORNING
The security guard drives the cart to a large blast shield door at the end of the spacious corridor. The security guard exits the cart and walks over to a hand scan panel next to the blast shield door with Adam following closely behind him.
GUARD
This is as far as I go. You’re
granted access for the rest of
the way.
The security guard hops back into the cart as Adam places his hand on the panel.
COMPUTER (V. O.)
DNA scan confirmed. Access granted.
Surprisingly, a hidden doorway adjacent to the blast shield door slides opens instead.

INT. TOP CATWALK OF CYCLOTRON ROOM - MORNING
Adam stands on the top level of a catwalk that encircles a large cyclotron like a snake. He leans on the railing of the catwalk to get a closer look at it.
ADAM’S POV
Adam sees a is cylindrical shaped steel structure that is about three stories high with several opaque tubes spread out on the floor of the cyclotron room connecting into various ports on the lower portion of it giving it the appearance of being overgrown with vines.
BACK TO SCENE
DR. FRANCISCO
(calling)
Adam!
Adam is startled and steps back from the catwalk as DOCTOR ARTHUR FRANCISCO calls out to him. Dr. Francisco, is Adam’s ethically challenged uncle who is a scientist in his late sixties.
ADAM
Doctor Francisco.
DR. FRANCISCO
Why the formalities?
ADAM
Well,...I thought since we’re
at work.
DR. FRANCISCO
They’re pretty smart. I’m sure
they’ll figure out we’re family.
(beat)
Come take a walk with me.
Adam walks with Dr. Francisco along the long spiraling catwalk. Adam peeks through the thick glass windows of the cyclotron.

ADAM’S POV
Adam looks at the windows of the cyclotron that appear to form two eyes and a sickly looking smile.
BACK TO SCENE
ADAM
So what is all this for?
DR. FRANCISCO
It’s for it all.
ADAM
All what?
DR. FRANCISCO
All life as we know it. We are on
the verge of not only making history,
but figuring out how it all started.
(beat)
Let me show you something.
Adam follows Dr. Francisco to a doorway alongside one of the nearby catwalks.
INT. HOLOGRAPH ROOM - MORNING
The door to the holograph room slides open as Dr. Francisco and Adam enter into the small square sized room with only a flat metallic table in the center of it.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
I think this may clarify things.
Standing in front of the holographic table is an attractive scientist, named DR. CAPPANO, who oozes with extreme confidence and has a dangerous quality to him.
DR. FRANCISCO
(to Adam)
This is one of my associates,
Dr. Cappano.

Adam holds out his hand to shake Dr. Cappano’s.
DR. FRANCISCO
(to Dr. Cappano)
This is my nephew Adam.
Dr. Cappano sturdily shakes Adam’s hand.
DR. CAPPANO
A pleasure.
Adam seems in slight pain as Dr. Cappano releases his grip.
Dr. Francisco taps a button on the holographic table causing a three dimensional holographic image to appear.
INSERT - HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGE
A rock formation floats in space. Light appears in the cracks of the rock until finally overcoming it and explodes forming the beginning of the known universe.
BACK TO SCENE
Adam seems to develop a headache.
DR. FRANCISCO
Recognize it?
ADAM
It’s the Big Bang.
(beat)
So what does this have to with
the big cyclotron out there?
DR. FRANCISCO
It will help us duplicate it.
ADAM
Why would you want to duplicate
it? In case you haven’t noticed,
everything blew up in the original.

DR. CAPPANO
It didn’t blow up. It expanded
life as it was known back then.
Adam glances over Dr. Cappano.
DR. FRANCISCO
We’ve figured out how to expand
life, but only the parts we want.
We need more natural resources,...
then we make them.
(beat)
I got the idea from your thesis.
ADAM
My paper was on DNA structures.
DR. FRANCISCO
Show him Dr. Cappano.
Dr. Cappano taps a button on the metallic table changing the holographic image.
INSERT - HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGE
A holographic image of an enlarged strand of DNA appears.

DR. CAPPANO
In your paper, you talk about
how scientists are beginning to
manipulate strands of DNA in
unborn human beings in order to
eliminate malicious genes such
as ones that cause cancer.
Dr. Cappano taps another button on the metallic table.
INSERT - HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGE
One of the genes is eliminated from the image of the strand of DNA.

(continuing)
You go on to talk about how it may
be possible one day to completely manipulate human DNA to the point
that people could truly create the
child they want.
ADAM
I still don’t see what that has
to do with that giant cyclotron
out there.
Dr. Francisco pushes a button on the table.
INSERT - HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGE
A holographic image of illuminated dots appears.
BACK TO SCENE
ADAM
What are those?
DR. FRANCISCO
Gravitons.
ADAM
Okay, I must have been absent
that day.
DR. FRANCISCO
We’ve never seen a tachyon because
it moves so fast that it is faster
than light and can’t be captured by
sight, but we know it’s there.
Dr. Francisco walks to the other side of the table.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
Well we finally captured it and
now we know what makes it run.

Gravitons.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
Exactly. Look at the bigger picture.
Instead of a DNA strand of a puny
human, we are looking at one of the
universe.
(beat)
And watch what happens when this
graviton strand is made to form a
continuous ring.
Dr. Cappano presses a button on the metallic table.
INSERT - HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGE
A holographic image of the big bang replicates.
INT. LOWER TIER OF CATWALK OF CYCLOTRON ROOM - MORNING
Dr. Francisco and Adam walk with Dr. Cappano following close behind them along the catwalk at a NOISIER lower level of the cyclotron room.
ADAM’S POV
Adam sees several power conductors filling the floor like mines in a battlefield. They BUZZ loudly as electrical wires lead out from them and into the base of the cyclotron.
BACK TO SCENE
ADAM
It must take an incredible amount
of energy to power this.
DR. FRANCISCO
We power it with plutonium.
ADAM
Isn’t that highly unstable, not
to mention dangerous.

DR. FRANCISCO
Only if you’re not careful.
Adam follows Dr. Francisco as he walks further down the catwalk.
ADAM
So what exactly is going to be
your first test?
DR. FRANCISCO
Our first test is going to be to
duplicate the molecular strand of
a tree and see if we can create
our own from literally nothing.
Dr. Francisco looks over at a middle aged haggard looking scientist working on an electrical conductor.
DR. FRANCISCO
(calling)
Dr. McClury.
DR. MCCLURY is full of nervous twitches and always reeks of alcohol while sweat permeates from him. He turns his attention to Dr. Francisco and Adam.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
Could you explain this set up to
my nephew Adam here.
Dr. McClury wipes sweat from his brow. He nervously points to electrical conductors connected to the cyclotron with opaque tubing.
DR. MCCLURY
These conductors will pull in
tachyons and feed them into the
cyclotron so we can break them
down into gravitons. We program
the computer upstairs with the molecular strand we need the
gravitons to be in...then connect
the graviton ring.

ADAM
And boom...you have a tree.
DR. FRANCISCO
A tree now, unlimited natural
resources later.
ADAM
Impressive,...but I don’t know.
It sounds way too dangerous.
DR. FRANCISCO
Well, if it’s too dangerous then
we should just give up now. We can
tell the investors of the Lotron
Corporation that their two billion
dollar investment is just not safe.
ADAM
I didn’t say that.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
Or maybe we should all go home to
our tiny apartments with our cute
little girlfriend who’s only big
aspiration is too make little babies
and big bills...for you.
Dr. Francisco pokes at Adam’s badge on his lab coat.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
Or we can do like Edison, Franklin,
and the countless other great
scientists have done and take...a
risk.
ADAM
I see your point. It’s just a big
risk.
DR. FRANCISCO
The bigger the risk, the greater
the glory.

Adam seems to develop a headache as he looks at the cyclotron.
INT. OFFICE CORRIDOR - AFTERNOON
Adam reemerges from the cyclotron room into the office corridor carrying a pile of papers and folders followed by Dr. Francisco, Dr. Cappano, and Dr. McClury.
DR. FRANCISCO
Look those over to catch up to
speed. We run the first test
tomorrow.
ADAM
Uncle Arthur, do you have me on
this project because I’m your
nephew?
DR. FRANCISCO
I have you on this project because
you are a brilliant young scientist.
with immense potential.
(beat)
And we needed a replacement for
Dr. Bell.
ADAM
What happened to Dr. Bell?
Dr. Francisco is reluctant to answer causing Dr. Cappano to interject himself into the conversation.
DR. CAPPANO
Dr. Bell...fell ill.
Adam glances at Dr. Cappano.
ADAM
Well, I guess I’d better start
looking these over. I’ll see
you tomorrow.
Dr. Francisco, Dr. Cappano, and Dr. McClury seem uneasy as they watch Adam head down the corridor.

DR. CAPPANO
Do you think he bought the story
of what we’re working on?
DR. FRANCISCO
He better have for his sake.
Dr. McClury pulls out a metallic flask from inside his lab coat.
DR. MCCLURY
We’d better watch him closely. I
don’t trust him.
Dr. McClury takes a swig from his flask.
INT. ADAM’S BEDROOM - NIGHT
Sharon sits on a bed while scanning a group of files spread out all over it. She sits up straight as she picks up a document to study it more closely.
SHARON
(muttering)
You’ve got to be kidding me.
Adam enters the bedroom and plops down onto the bed beside Sharon.
ADAM
So what do you think?
SHARON
I think your uncle has finally
lost his mind. You can’t tell
me you think this is a good idea.
ADAM
I think it’s a highly conceptualized
idea, but I’m sure that’s what
people said to great scientists like
Edison, Franklin...
SHARON
(interrupting)
Frankenstein.

Adam seems to fight off a headache as he looks into Sharon’s doubtful expression.
ADAM
I also think my two time Nobel
Prize winning uncle knows what
he is doing.
SHARON
Yeah, he’s thinking about what
shelf to put number three on.
Adam surveys the files spread out on the bed.
SHARON
(continuing)
I asked what you think about
it, not what your uncle thinks.
Adam does not respond.
SHARON
(continuing)
That’s probably why your uncle
put you on the team.
ADAM
What is that supposed to mean?
Sharon is defiant.
SHARON
Your uncle probably chose you
because he knows you won’t voice
any objections.
ADAM
How could I be so stupid?
SHARON
You’re not stupid. You just feel
that way in front of your uncle
because you’re trying to impress
him so much.

Sharon reaches to comfort Adam.
SHARON
(continuing)
You made it to where you are now
because of you and not your uncle.
You don’t need him. He’s just
using you.
ADAM
You’re right.
SHARON
Tell me what you really think of
this project.
ADAM
I think this is the most dangerous
thing I’ve ever seen. First of
all, it’s powered by plutonium
which is highly unstable.
Adam becomes more adamant as he holds up various documents.
ADAM
(continuing)
And he’s totally twisting my work.
I think he could wind up wiping
out half if not all the planet.
Adam slams the papers down to the bed and looks deeply into Sharon’s eyes.
SHARON
You’ve got to voice your objection
to him.
ADAM
I will.
SHARON
Now that’s the brilliant scientist
I know and love.
Sharon purses her lips as she kisses Adam.

INT. HALLWAY - MORNING
Sharon and Adam walk in silence down a hallway of the Lotron Building. She turns to look at him.
SHARON
How are you holding up?
ADAM
Barely, but it’s got to be done.
Sharon grasps Adam’s hand with hers as they walk.
SHARON
You’ll do fine. I have confidence
in you.
ADAM
I’m glad someone does.
Adam halts in his tracks as Sharon takes a few more steps before turning around to look back at him.
SHARON
Is something wrong?
Adam radiates with warmth as he sees Sharon walks back to him.
ADAM
Do you want kids?
SHARON
Okay, where did that come from?
ADAM
Well, do you?
SHARON
Of course I would like to have
children in the future.
ADAM
With me?
Sharon tugs on the opening of Adam’s lab coat.

SHARON
(playfully)
Of course with you...Do you
want kids with me?
ADAM
I want a marriage, kids, and a
life with you more than anything
in this world.
SHARON
Okay, well,...as you soon as
you stop your mad scientist
uncle we’ll get to work on that.
Sharon GIGGLES to herself as she lets go of Adam’s sleeve.
Adam watches Sharon head to the archives room.
INT. TOP CATWALK OF CYCLOTRON ROOM - MORNING
The door to the catwalk slides open as Adam steps out on to it. Adam slowly approaches Dr. Francisco and Dr. McClury who are conversing with one another.
Dr. Francisco and Dr. McClury turn their attention to Adam as he reaches them.
DR. FRANCISCO
We’re just about to get started.
ADAM
Listen, I need to talk to you.
DR. FRANCISCO
Fiancée problems?
ADAM
Uh, no...Listen I’m all for the
idea with this, but I think there’s
a problem with this project.
Dr. McClury’s face exhibits concern as he turns to Dr. Francisco.

Dr. Francisco turns his attention to Dr. McClury.
DR. FRANCISCO
Why don’t you start prepping in the
control room and I’ll be up there momentarily.
Dr. McClury seems nervous as he brushes by Adam to leave.
ADAM
I looked over the files you
gave me...and I disagree with
some of the findings.
DR. FRANCISCO
Really, like what?
ADAM
I think my thesis on DNA structures
is being misapplied.
DR. FRANCISCO
How so?
Adam is reluctant to respond.
ADAM
Well, for one thing, the diagnostics
look backwards to me like you’re
taking away life not making it.
DR. FRANCISCO
So, basically you’re telling me that
all of these highly educated scientists,
including myself, are wrong.
Adam stands tall as he CLEARS his throat.
ADAM
Yes.
DR. FRANCISCO
I guess I overdid it in my speech
to you yesterday.

Dr. Francisco clasps Adam’s shoulder tightly and angrily glares at Adam.
DR. FRANCISCO
Now listen to me, you cocky little
shit. You will keep your mouth
shut and watch what real scientists
do. Understand?
ADAM
No, I won’t. I want to do something
other scientists have only dreamed
of doing, but I’m not willing to
risk billions of lives for it.
Dr. Francisco relaxes.
DR. FRANCISCO
Okay. How about we make a compromise?
You can monitor the project in the
control room with me and the first
sign of any problems,...we stop.
ADAM
Alright. That’ll work for me.
DR. FRANCISCO
Good. Now come and we’ll get this
grand experiment started.
Dr. Francisco leads Adam down the catwalk.
INT. CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - LATE MORNING
The cyclotron control room overlooks the cyclotron from above it. Dr. Francisco, Adam, Dr. McClury, and Dr. Cappano stand at a long computer console with a window above it to observe the cyclotron.
Dr. Francisco pushes a button on the computer console activating an intercom.
DR. FRANCISCO
Goggles on.

The scientists remove tinted eye goggles from their lab coats and place them over their eyes.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
Activating electrical conductors.
Dr. Francisco signals to Dr. Cappano, who pushes a button on the computer control panel.
INSERT - CYCLOTRON
A LOUD WHIRRING sound emits from the cyclotron as another cylinder spins around inside of it and light energy streams through the multiple opaque tubes into the cyclotron.
BACK TO SCENE
Dr. Francisco studies readings displayed on the computer screen.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
Ready to split tachyons.
Dr. Francisco motions to Dr. McClury who pushes another button on the computer control panel.
INSERT - CYCLOTRON
A bright glowing light shines from the glass portions of the cyclotron as the LOUD WHIRRING sound becomes faster with small pixels of light bouncing around feverishly.
BACK TO SCENE
DR. MCCLURY
Tachyons split into gravitons.
DR. FRANCISCO
Forming the graviton strands.
Dr. Francisco pushes the intercom button off as he looks over at Adam.

DR. FRANCISCO
Okay, Adam, you get the honor.
Adam pulls back on a small lever on the computer console.
SCIENTISTS’ POV
All in the room gaze upon the cyclotron as the gravitons form a singular straight line. They quickly look over at the computer screen as a red light flashes on it and makes a HIGH PITCHED BEEPING sound.
BACK TO SCENE
ADAM
What’s wrong?
DR. FRANCISCO
The holograph disc recording in
camera number six is out.
Adam relaxes.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
Can you be so kind as to get another
disc in the holograph room. It’s in
the titanium sealed room so the discs
aren’t damaged from all the molecular activity.
Adam turns and heads for the room door.
DR. FRANCISCO
Hurry up or you’ll miss it.
The door slides closed as the three scientists watch Adam leave.
DR. MCCLURY
He’s figured it out hasn’t he?
Dr. McClury nervously straightens out his lab coat.
DR. FRANCISCO
Relax, doctor. He only thinks he has.

DR. CAPPANO
We can’t afford any mistakes.
DR. FRANCISCO
And there won’t be any as long as
we stick to the plan.
Dr. Cappano is doubtful.
SERIES OF SHOTS
A) Adam races down a hallway to the door of the holograph room.
B) Dr. McClury impatiently checks his wristwatch.
C) The graviton strand RUMBLES with massive energy flowing
through it as it sits in the cyclotron.
D) The display screen on the hand scan panel flickers.
INT. HOLOGRAPH ROOM - LATE MORNING
The holograph room is a small room filled with several shelves standing in rows lining it.
Adam hurriedly searches through the holographic discs looking for a blank one.
ADAM
(to himself)
C’mon, c’mon. Where are you?
Adam continues his frantic search.
SERIES OF SHOTS
A) Small amounts of plutonium ooze from the electrical
conductors at the base of the cyclotron.
B) Adam looks up at the white fluorescent lighting in the
ceiling as it flickers.
C) Sharon and other scientists look around the archives room as
the lights and rest of the power flickers.

INT. CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - LATE MORNING
The lights and power flicker in the cyclotron control room.
Dr. Cappano and Dr. McClury look at the computer console and the lights in room with expressions of concern on their faces.
DR. FRANCISCO
It’s only a slight power surge.
It’s to be expected.
Dr. Francisco checks his wristwatch.
DR. FRANCISCO
That should be enough time for him
to have reached the holograph room.
Let’s proceed.
Dr. Francisco depresses the intercom button on the computer console.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
Prepare for formation of the graviton
ring on my mark. Three...two...one
...Now!
Dr. Francisco presses a button on the computer console
INSERT - CYCLOTRON
The cyclotron spins around faster and faster to make the gravitons form a complete ring.
BACK TO SCENE
DR. FRANCISCO
Success!
Dr. Francisco beams with pride as he turns to Dr. McClury and Dr. Cappano.
Suddenly, a tremendous amount of white light BLASTS through the windows of cyclotron causing Dr. Francisco, Dr. Cappano, and Dr. McClury to cover their faces.

SERIES OF SHOTS
A) The blast shield door in the corridor is shredded to pieces
as it is bombarded with white light.
B) Several holographic discs fall from the shelves pelting Adam
as the holograph room rocks from the explosion of light.
C) White light shoots out from the many windows in the Lotron
Building and goes off into various directions.
D) The Earth, as seen from outer space, is encompassed by white
light, which just as suddenly disappears.
INT. CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - LATE MORNING
The door to the cyclotron room slides open as Adam enters into it. Adam’s face exhibits astonishment as he looks at the damaged equipment and shattered window.
ADAM
Uncle!
Adam sees no one. He races over to the broken window and sees the cyclotron is badly damaged. Deep concern covers his face.
ADAM
(to himself)
Sharon.
Adam turns and rushes out of the room.
SERIES OF SHOTS
A) Adam rips open the cover of the hand scan panel outside the
archives room and reroutes the wires underneath it causing
the door open.
B) Adam rushes down the main aisle of the archives room and
scurries to a desk with Sharon’s name plate resting on it.
C) Adam runs down an empty hallway of the Lotron Building.
D) Adam hurries into his car in the parking lot void of any
people.

EXT. HIGHWAY - EARLY AFTERNOON
Adam stands outside his car in the middle of a highway crowded with cars. He gazes at the roadway as he leans on top of his open car door.
Adam turns to look behind him and across at the oncoming lane of traffic that is also littered with abandoned cars.
ADAM
(to himself)
Where is everyone?
Adam walks away from his car and toward the side of the road. He makes his way down the hillside of the road.
MONTAGE OF SHOTS
A) Adam watches the waves of the Pacific Ocean splash along a
beach cluttered with numerous beach blankets that have been
abandoned and only a few sea gulls flying above it.
B) As Adam meanders through a park spotting a few dogs
scurrying around and BARKING for their missing owners.
C) Adam wanders down a usually busy city block in Los Angeles
that is void of any human life.
INT. ADAM’S BEDROOM - AFTERNOON
Adam staggers into his small bedroom and collapses face up on the bed. He seems distraught as he stares at the ceiling.
ADAM
I can’t believe this is happening.
Adam slowly turns his stare to a photo of Sharon and him at the beach in a picture frame on top of a bureau. He gets out of bed and walks over to the bureau.
Adam presses a button on the bottom of the frame with his thumb.
ADAM’S POV
The photo becomes a short video clip with sound of the moment

SHARON (V. O.)
You better put some sunscreen on
or you’ll get sunburn.
ADAM (V. O.)
(jokingly)
I’m just trying to look good for
you.
SHARON (V. O.)
Well in that case let me bury you
in the sand.
BACK TO SCENE
Adam turns to the closet door next to the bureau. He opens it and removes a shoe box on a shelf above the clothes rack. He takes it over to the bed.
Adam takes out a flat piece of electronic equipment from the box that is about the size of his hand and places it on the bed. Adam pulls out a handful of holographic discs from the box and slides one of them into the side of the electronic equipment, which is a holographic player.

I hope you like it.

Sharon leans over and kisses him in the holographic image.

I’ll bring you back Sharon.
Adam exhibits determination as he gets of the bed.
INT. OFFICE CORRIDOR - LATE AFTENOON
Adam sits on the floor in front of the blast shield door that was shredded to pieces. Some of the floor is covered with debris while the rest of it is covered with several pages of documents. Adam looks over at a laptop computer sitting next to him.
INSERT - LAPTOP COMPUTER
A laptop computer displays the diagnostics of the cyclotron.

Adam types on the keyboard of the laptop computer.
ADAM
I knew you had it backwards.
Adam stands and carries the laptop computer over to the hand scan panel. He plugs his laptop computer into the hand scan panel and taps a few keys on the computer.

A) Adam is in a radioactive protective suit cleaning up the
electrical conductors powered by plutonium.
B) Adam is standing at the bottom of the catwalk with a hand
drill putting pieces of the cyclotron back together.
C) Adam is inside the cyclotron sweeping up pieces of debris
with a broom and dustpan.
D) Adam glances at the night sky through the window of the
corridor as he walks past the damaged blast shield door
carrying a large sheet of metal.
INT. CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - NIGHT
Adam enters the badly damaged cyclotron control room. He sets down his laptop computer on top of the damaged computer console and connects them together.
ADAM
Please work.
Adam pushes a few buttons on the computer console causing it to ROAR to life. He taps a few keys on the laptop computer.
INSERT - LAPTOP COMPUTER
The laptop computer displays a diagram of a strand of human DNA with the name SHARON CORDERO next to it.

ADAM
(continuing)
What if I’m wrong? I can’t
risk her life.
Adam seems to have a headache. He types on the laptop computer.
INSERT - LAPTOP COMPUTER
The laptop computer changes its display to show the DNA structure of DR. ARTHUR FRANCISCO.

(sarcastically)
At least I won’t feel as bad
risking yours.
Adam removes a pair of dark goggles from his lab coat and slips them on over his eyes. He pushes the button on the computer console.
INSERT - CYCLOTRON
LOUD CLANGING sounds are heard from the cyclotron as the inner cylinder moves slowly inside of it.
BACK TO SCENE
ADAM
(continuing)
That doesn’t sound good.
INSERT - CYCLTRON
The LOUD CLANGING sound changes into a less noisy WHIRRING sound as the inner cylinder spins more smoothly.
BACK TO SCENE
Adam pushes another button on the computer console and looks through the broken window of the cyclotron room.
ADAM’S POV
Adam sees an already formed graviton ring floating in the middle of the cyclotron.
BACK TO SCENE
ADAM
(continuing)
So far, so good. Now let’s try not
to blow up the rest of the planet.
Adam gazes at the cyclotron.

ADAM’S POV
The cyclotron seems to be staring back at Adam with its upper windows appearing like eyes. The cyclotron gives the impression of being even more menacing with its makeshift repairs.
BACK TO SCENE
Adam slowly pulls the lever back causing the cyclotron to accelerate even faster. He looks up at the ceiling lights that are still operating as they flicker.
ADAM
(continuing)
Here goes everything.
Adam presses the button on the computer console.
INSERT - CYCLOTRON
An EARPIERCING WHIRRING sound emits from the cyclotron as it spins rapidly and splits apart the graviton ring.
BACK TO SCENE
Adam ducks behind the computer console as a brilliant flash of light emits from the windows in the cyclotron. The flash of light disappears and all is quiet.
Adam pulls off his goggles and pokes his head out from behind the computer console. He stands seeing no visible damage to anything around him.
INT. BASE OF CYCLOTRON - NIGHT
A door slides open at the base of the cyclotron room as Adam enters into it cautiously. Adam walks up to the base of the cyclotron carefully stepping in between the sea of electrical cable and opaque tubing filling the floor.
Adam pulls down a lever next to a hatch at the base of the cyclotron causing an UNLOCKING sound to be heard. Adam pulls on the latch of the door to open it releasing a cloud of smoke from inside the cyclotron.

Uncle!
Adam enters into the bottom of the cyclotron. He remerges from the cyclotron with his lab coat wrapped around the naked body of Dr. Francisco walking beside him.
Dr. Francisco COUGHS a few times.
DR. FRANCISCO
(groggily)
Where am I?
ADAM
Let me get you to the med unit and
I’ll tell you all about it.
Adam puts Dr. Francisco’s arm around his shoulder as he leads him out of the cyclotron room.
INT. MEDICAL UNIT - NIGHT
The medical unit is a small rectangular shaped room with cots filling up most of the room while cabinets and an examination table take up the rest. Dr. Francisco seems dazed as he sits in a jumpsuit on one of the cots.
Adam sits on the cot across from Dr. Francisco as he hands him a cup of water and a small white pill.
ADAM
This should help clear your head.
DR. FRANCISCO
The last thing I remember is the
graviton ring connecting and then
a brilliant flash of light.
Dr. Francisco seems to become more focused.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
The next thing I know, you’re helping
me out of the cyclotron.

Do you remember anything in between?
DR. FRANCISCO
The only thing I remember was feeling
like I was floating...in cold darkness.
ADAM
Cold darkness?
DR. FRANCISCO
Is everyone else all right?
Adam stands up from the cot.
ADAM
We’re the only ones left.
DR. FRANCISCO
You mean left in the building?
ADAM
I mean in the world,...but then again,...that’s what you planned
all along.
Dr. Francisco displays deviousness as he looks up at Adam.
DR. FRANCISCO
You finally figured it out. Of
course we didn’t plan on ourselves disappearing as well, which begs
the question...how did you remain?
ADAM
The titanium sealed walls of the
holograph room acted as some sort
of shield.
A BEEPING sound is heard from a computer terminal on a counter on the wall opposite the cots.
DR. FRANCISCO
What’s that?

Adam heads over to the computer.
ADAM
It’s the results of the biological
scan I did on you to make sure
you’re alright.
Adam taps a few keys on the computer as he studies the information on the computer screen.
DR. FRANCISCO
Well?
ADAM
Your read outs are all normal...and
compared to the results from your
last physical, nothing has changed.
You’re still sick and twisted.
DR. FRANCISCO
That’s good to know.
Adam sits back down on the cot.
ADAM
Why?
DR. FRANCISCO
Because the politicians were screwing
everything up. They’re all the same
They base their decisions on who
contributes to them the most and our
budget always gets cut.
ADAM
Then why didn’t you just run for
office yourself?
DR. FRANCISCO
Because I’m not a politician and
people would rather be told pretty
lies instead of the cold hard facts.
ADAM
That’s not true.

(stubbornly)
It is, so we decided to make our own government headed up by the smartest
people in the world.
ADAM
A coup without an army. And you
get to decide who’s worthy?
DR. FRANCISCO
Enough with this. Tell me how you
figured out how to reverse it? We
hadn’t devised a plan for it yet.
ADAM
You mean you got rid of everyone
without knowing how to return them.
Dr. Francisco turns away as he gets up from the cot.
DR. FRANCISCO
We figured it would be easier to
work on that once everyone was
gone and wouldn’t be bothering us.
ADAM
Come take a walk with me. The
exercise will do you good.
Adam hops to his feet from the cot seemingly frustrated.
INT. HOLOGRAPH ROOM - NIGHT
Adam and Dr. Francisco stand in front of the flat metallic table of the holograph room. Adam swipes his hand across the top of the table to clear off some dust and little pieces of debris.

And it pulled me back from...wherever
I was. So you can use the same
process to bring back everyone else?
Adam pushes a button on the holographic table causing the image to disappear. A sullen expression fills Adam’s eyes.
ADAM
Not exactly. When I ran simulated
tests on the computer for multiple
DNA strands, it kept yielding one
entity containing all of the
characteristics of the DNA.
DR. FRANCISCO
Well, that’s not acceptable.
ADAM
And if I continue just to bring back
one person at a time figuring the
amount of time it takes to run the
process six billion times...
(beat)
It should take about five hundred
thousand years.
Dr. Francisco seems befuddled.
DR. FRANCISCO
Interesting.

But right now, I’m going to work
on bringing back Sharon.
Adam heads to the door of the room.
DR. FRANCISCO
I’m surprised you didn’t bring back
your little fiancée first.
Adam stops and looks back at Dr. Francisco.
ADAM
I wanted to make sure it worked
first. I wouldn’t want anything
to happen to her.
Adam leaves the holograph room.
INT. CYCLOTRON ROOM - NIGHT
Adam turns his attention away from the computer console to the door of the cyclotron room as it slides open and Dr. Francisco enters.
ADAM
I see you found better attire.
Dr. Francisco looks down at his suit and pulls back his lab coat as he glides his hand over his jacket lapel.
DR. FRANCISCO
I always kept an extra suit in my
office for when I pulled all-nighters.
ADAM
I guess you did that quite often.
Dr. Francisco steps closer to Adam and the computer console.
DR. FRANCISCO
I thought I would observe your work.
Adam turns his attention back to the computer console and taps a few keys on the laptop computer.

Dr. Francisco and Adam put on their tinted goggles as Adam presses a button on the computer console.
INSERT - CYCLOTRON
A LOUD CLANGING sound is briefly heard from the cyclotron as the inner cylinder moves slowly in it. It quickly subsides into a quieter WHIRRING SOUND.

Is it supposed to do that?
ADAM
It sounded worse before.
Adam pushes another button on the computer console.

Adam remains steadfast while Dr. Francisco ducks behind him as a brilliant flash of light emits from the windows in the cyclotron. The flash of light disappears and all is quiet.

The door to the base of the cyclotron room slides open as Adam hurries into it with Dr. Francisco walking gingerly behind him.
Adam pulls down a lever next to hatch at the base of the cyclotron causing and UNLOCKING sound to be heard. Adam pulls on the latch of the door to open it releasing a cloud of smoke from inside the cyclotron.
Adam and Dr. Francisco show amazement as they see Sharon’s naked body laying curled up in the fetal position on the floor.
ADAM
(softly)
Sharon.
Adam steps into the cyclotron.

Dr. Francisco steps up to the door of the cyclotron to get a closer look.
DR. FRANCISCO
Amazing.
SHARON
(groggily)
What...Where...
Adam places his lab coat around Sharon.
ADAM
Everything is fine. Don’t worry.
SHARON
Adam,...what’s going on.
Dr. Francisco backs away from the door of the cyclotron as Adam and Sharon step out of it.
DR. FRANCISCO
Simply amazing.
ADAM
I’m going to get her to the med
unit.
DR. FRANCISCO
Of course. Make sure the girl is
well.
(beat)
In the meantime, I’ll work on
figuring out how to bring back
multiple people at one time.
Dr. Francisco turns and hurries to the door of the room.
ADAM
(calling)
Uncle.
As Dr. Francisco reaches the doorway he turns around to face
Adam.

(sternly)
Wait for me before you try to
bring anyone back.
DR. FRANCISCO
Don’t worry. Besides, I am a two
time Nobel Prize winning scientist.
Dr. Francisco leaves as Adam readjusts his weight to support Sharon who MOANS.
INT. MEDICAL UNIT - NIGHT
Adam sits on a cot next to Sharon who is now clothed in a jumpsuit as she digests a white pill with water.
ADAM
Better?
Sharon tries to clear her mind.
SHARON
Much better.
Adam kisses Sharon on the lips.
SHARON
What was that for?
ADAM
I missed you.
SHARON
It only seemed like a few minutes
not a whole day like you explained.
Sharon stretches her body.
SHARON
(continuing)
I still can’t believe it’s just
the three of us on the entire
planet.

Sharon purses her lips and pokes Adam’s shoulder.
SHARON
(angrily)
I told you your uncle’s idea
was insane.
Adam gently grasps Sharon’s finger jabbing him in the shoulder.
ADAM
I’m glad I listened to you or
else I would have been zapped too
and nobody would be coming back.
SHARON
Isn’t it dangerous leaving your
uncle alone since he’s trying to
take over the world now?
ADAM
No, it should be safe. He needs a
password to get into my laptop.
Sharon SIGHS LOUDLY as she reclines on the cot behind Adam.
ADAM
(continuing)
So did you feel cold darkness
too?
SHARON
No, not at all. It was a warm
comforting feeling.
(beat)
And it was bright. A bright
white light.
ADAM
A bright white light, like when
someone dies.
Sharon GIGGLES as Adam yawns.
SHARON
Am I boring you?

Adam tries to wake himself.
ADAM
I’ve been working nonstop since
this morning trying to fix this
mess. I guess I should try to
grab some sleep.
Sharon grabs Adam by his shirt collar and pulls him closer.
ADAM
(continuing)
I guess I can sleep later.
Sharon purses her lips and kisses Adam as they embrace.
SERIES OF SHOTS
A) Dr. Francisco stands in front of Adam’s laptop computer in
the cyclotron control room as he taps keys trying to unlock
the password.
B) A light blanket somewhat covers Sharon and Adam as he lays
on top of her while having sex.
C) A sinister smile fills Dr. Francisco’s face as he gazes at
the laptop computer screen.
INT. MEDICAL UNIT - LATE MORNING
Adam and Sharon sleep while cuddled on the cot. Adam slowly awakens. He bolts upright in bed upon seeing the lights flicker. He looks over at a digital clock hanging on the wall.
INSERT - DIGITAL CLOCK: 10:30 AM
BACK TO SCENE
Sharon wakes and sits up on the cot. She reaches to Adam as he gets dressed.
SHARON
What’s wrong?

ADAM
My uncle must have figured out
my password and now he’s using
the cyclotron.
SHARON
The lights flickered just before
it happened. It must use so
much energy.
Adam stands as he continues to dress.
ADAM
Yeah, unstable energy. I better
stop him before he destroys what’s
left on this planet.
Sharon gets off of the cot and wraps the blanket around her body.
SHARON
Well, I’m going with you.
Sharon hurriedly gets dressed.
INT. BASE OF CYCLOTRON - LATE MORNING
Adam enters the base of the cyclotron room with Sharon following close behind him. Adam emits surprise upon seeing several scientists, including Dr. Cappano and Dr. McClury, and a handful of guards standing at the base of the cyclotron along with
Dr. Francisco.
ADAM
(calling)
Uncle.
Dr. Francisco turns to see Adam and Sharon enter the room and make their way to him.
DR. FRANCISCO
Did you get some sleep?
ADAM
I see you broke my password.

DR. FRANCISCO
I’m a pretty smart guy.
ADAM
How many people did you bring back?
DR. FRANCISCO
I brought back the scientists we need
to resolve the problem.
Adam glances over at the guards.
ADAM
And the guards?
DR. FRANCISCO
I thought it would be good for
protection.
A headache seems to overcome Adam.
ADAM
Protection from whom?
DR. FRANCISCO
Anyone who’ll try to stop us?
Adam and Sharon appear concerned as they look at one another.
Dr. Francisco turns his attention to the door of the cyclotron that is being opened by Dr. McClury.
DR. FRANCISCO
(calling)
Welcome back, Johnson.
Suddenly, a human looking blob bounds out of the cyclotron. Several scientists SHRIEK in horror as the blob grabs
Dr. Francisco.
The guards rush to Dr. Francisco’s aid and pull the blob like man off of Dr. Francisco. They push the blob up against the cyclotron.

DR. FRANCISCO
(yelling to the guards)
Shoot it! Shoot it!
The guards draw their weapons and FIRE lasers several times at the blob like man. Its body dematerializes and collapses into a pile of ashes.
Everyone in the room encircles the pile of ashes.
DR. MCCLURY
Poor Johnson.
Dr. McClury seems edgy. He wipes his brow of sweat.
DR. FRANCISCO
Someone make a note that it’s a good
idea to let the cyclotron cool down
after the fifteenth consecutive use.
Dr. Francisco looks up from the pile of ashes and addresses everyone.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
I think this is a good time for a
lunch break. Why don’t we adjourn
to the cafeteria.
Most of the scientists and guards exit the room.
SHARON
That’s all you have to say?
Dr. Francisco turns his attention to Sharon with Dr. McClury and Dr. Cappano standing behind him.
DR. FRANCISCO
What do you want me to say? Should
I give a eulogy?
Sharon pokes Dr. Francisco’s chest.

SHARON
You could show some heart. The
man probably had a family.
DR. FRANCISCO
And that family is still lost in
somewhere unknown.
Sharon reflects irritation as she listens to Dr. Francisco.
DR. FRANCISCO
(angrily)
Don’t be so judgmental. He was a
scientist and he knew the risks.
Adam steps in between Sharon and Dr. Francisco.
Dr. Francisco turns his attention to Adam.
DR. FRANCISCO
For your sake, you had better learn
how to control your fiancée.
Dr. Francisco straightens out his lab coat.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
If you ever want to be a successful
scientist, you are going to have to
learn to take some risks.
(beat)
Now if you don’t mind, I’m hungry.
Some of us have been working all day.
Dr. Francisco marches out of the room with Dr. McClury and
Dr. Cappano following close behind him.
Sharon attempts to pursue Dr. Francisco, but is grabbed from behind by Adam who also covers her mouth with his hand to prevent her from further debate.
INT. HALLWAY - AFTERNOON
Adam and Sharon walk down a hallway of the Lotron Building with Dr. Francisco and the other scientists much further ahead of

SHARON
So now what do we do?
ADAM
We need to look more into this
project.
Sharon and Adam notice Dr. Cappano glance at them. Sharon quickly grasps Adam’s hand and nestles close to him to avert suspicion.
SHARON
I’ll go to the archives room and
check it out.
ADAM
I’ll go with you.
SHARON
No, you should go with your uncle
and the others and see what their
up to next.
ADAM
You’re not hungry?
SHARON
Not after what we just witnessed.
Sharon comes to a stop causing Adam to halt as well.
ADAM
I don’t like the idea of you going
by yourself.
SHARON
I’ll be fine. Besides I know how
to take care of myself.
Sharon and Adam’s hands gradually pull apart as Sharon leaves down another hallway.

INT. CAFETERIA - LATE AFTERNOON
The cafeteria is a spacious room with several long rectangular tables and benches. A view of the valley and ocean can be seen through one of the walls compromised entirely of a window.
Adam walks over to the far end of the table away from
Dr. Francisco and the other scientists. He fiddles with the food on his tray.
Dr. Francisco gets up from his seat and joins Adam.
DR. FRANCISCO
Are you going to be mad with me the
rest of your time here?
ADAM
Are you still going to try to take
over the world?
DR. FRANCISCO
You make it sound like I’m going
to be a vicious tyrant. I, along
with my fellow scientists, are
merely going to guide the world
to a better place.
Adam appears to have a headache.
ADAM
Specifically, how are you going
to go about this?
DR. FRANCISCO
We’re going to bring back the most
productive members of society first
and so forth down the line.
ADAM
Are you are bringing back everyone
eventually?
Dr. Francisco hesitates to answer momentarily.

We don’t feel it would be beneficial
to bring back armies that may want to
seize power for themselves, or convicted criminals, or even primitive cultures.
ADAM
It’s not your decision to make.
DR. FRANCISCO
Listen, you’re my family and soon so
will Cheryl.
ADAM
Sharon.
DR. FRANCISCO
The point is I can only protect you
for so long.
Dr. Francisco looks down the table at the other scientists who are conversing with one another.
Adam turns his head to see the same view as Dr. Francisco.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
We’ve all worked long and hard on this
and don’t want to see anyone cause us
problems.
Adam and Dr. Francisco turn their attention back to one another.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
So you and...Sharon can either help us
bring more people safely back or...
ADAM
(interrupting)
Be unproductive.
Dr. Francisco looks smug.

Then I guess I’d better get
back to work.
Adam stands up from the table.
INT. ARCHIVES ROOM - AFTERNOON
The archives room is a spacious rectangular shaped room lined with book shelves containing holographic discs. The far wall of the archives room is split into two levels containing multiple desks with computer terminals. Sharon sits at her desk on the lower level.
Sharon squints as she reads her computer screen. She looks up at Adam approaching her.
SHARON
I’m surprised you were able to
get in.
ADAM
I hot wired the hand scan panel.
Adam sits on the edge of Sharon’s desk and looks at the computer screen.
ADAM
(continuing)
Find anything?
SHARON
Looks like we weren’t the only
ones who disagreed with your
uncle.
Sharon points to the computer screen.
SHARON
(continuing)
A Dr. Bell documented his disapproval
of your uncle’s project.

ADAM
Dr. Bell is who I replaced. My
uncle said he fell ill.
SHARON
He fell alright. He fell out of
the sixteenth floor window.
Sharon glides her finger across the computer screen as she reads.
SHARON
(continuing)
They declared it a suicide.
Sharon swivels in her chair to turn to Adam.
SHARON
(continuing)
Adam,...your uncle had him killed.
ADAM
We have to stop him.
SHARON
But how?
ADAM
I don’t know. For now we’ll have
to play along.
ADAM
(continuing)
Keep digging and see what you can
find. I’ll go back upstairs and
work on bringing more people back.
Sharon reaches to Adam. They look at each other with concern.
INT. CAFETERIA - LATE AFTERNOON
Dr. Francisco is once again sitting with Dr. McClury,
Dr. Cappano, and the other male scientists.

We have a chance here to run the
world the right way.
DR. FRANCISCO
Yes, and Adam is the key to that. He
understands this project better than
any of us.
Dr. Francisco ponders.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
But that girl has such an influence
over him.
DR. CAPPANO
Why is he the only one with a woman?
The other scientists MUTTER in agreement as Dr. McClury pours his silver flask into a cup of coffee.
DR. MCCLURY
I’d like a woman too.
Dr. Francisco turns his attention to Dr. McClury.
DR. FRANCISCO
I’m sure Adam wouldn’t object to you
bringing back your wife.
DR. MCCLURY
Let me clarify that. I want a hot
looking woman.
The other scientists LAUGH.
DR. CAPPANO
Why just have one?
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
I’ll work on Adam.
Dr. Francisco turns his attention to Dr. Cappano.

(continuing)
You work on the girl. You seem to
have a gift for that. Keep her away
from Adam.
Dr. Cappano glides his hand through his slick hair.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
The rest of you keep working on
figuring out how to bring back
multiple people at once.
The scientists adjourn.
INT. HOLOGRAPH ROOM - LATE AFTERNOON
Adam leans on the holograph table observing a holographic image of the cyclotron.
Dr. Francisco enters the room and walks up beside Adam.
DR. FRANCISCO
Any progress?
ADAM
Actually, yeah. I think if we
subdivide the base of the cyclotron,
we may be able to filter specific
DNA strands into each section.
DR. FRANCISCO
That may just work. I’ll have the
others get to work on that.
Dr. Francisco scans the room.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
So, where’s a...Sharon
ADAM
She’s doing some research for me.

DR. FRANCISCO
You know you could probably get more
without her.
ADAM
What do you have against her?
DR. FRANCISCO
I have nothing against her. She’s
a lovely girl. I just think she’s
holding you back from your ambition
by filling you with silly goals like
a white picket fence.
ADAM
She’s not holding me back. If
anything she inspires me to have
the confidence to believe in myself especially when others doubt me.
Dr. Francisco strolls around the holographic table.
DR. FRANCISCO
I don’t doubt that. It’s just that
I’ve seen so many scientists like
you who had such promising careers
only to throw it away paying mortgages
and changing diapers.
ADAM
You make having a wife and family
sound like such a waste. I want
that someday and I want it with
Sharon.
DR. FRANCISCO
Remember that when you want to stay
late one night to work on a brilliant
project, but you have to leave to
pick up a carton of milk.
Dr. Francisco stops in front of Adam.

Whether you agree with this project
or not, it will probably be the only
significant one you’ll ever work on.
Dr. Francisco turns and leaves the room.
INT. ARCHIVES ROOM - LATE AFTERNOON
Sharon sits at her desk in the desolate archives room. Her eyes follow the text displayed on the computer screen.
SHARON
(to herself)
That’s an awfully big contribution
into the project.
Sharon taps a few keys on her computer.
SHARON
(continuing)
Oh, my god.
Sharon knocks on her desk lamp as it flickers.
SHARON
(continuing)
C’mon you stupid thing.
Sharon types a series of keys into the computer.
SHARON
(continuing)
I have to warn Adam.
Sharon stands up from her desk as she shuts down her computer. She removes a compact disc from the computer and slips it into her pocket.
Sharon scoops up a bunch of other discs. She lets out a small SCREAM as she is startled by Dr. Cappano.

DR. CAPPANO
I’m sorry. That’s not why women
usually scream like that when they’re
with me.
SHARON
I bet.
Sharon glimpses at Dr. Cappano’s finely tailored suit.
SHARON
(continuing)
I’m glad you had time to go
shopping.
DR. CAPPANO
What, this old thing? I’m sure
I could help you slip into something
more comfortable.
Dr. Cappano reaches out to the zipper on Sharon’s jumpsuit and pulls it down slightly causing Sharon to pull away from him.
SHARON
I’m very comfortable, thanks.
Sharon heads toward the shelves with Dr. Cappano following her.
DR. CAPPANO
So, what do you have to warn
Adam about?
SHARON
Oh,...uh...I have to warn him about
the lights flickering.
DR. CAPPANO
It’s such a shame.
SHARON
What’s a shame?
Dr. Cappano reaches out to Sharon causing her to shrug away from him.

That an intelligent and beautiful
scientist such as yourself is stuck
down here in this stuffy place.
SHARON
I actually like it down here. It’s
quiet and peaceful.
DR. CAPPANO
And we have it all to ourselves.
Dr. Cappano attempts to kiss Sharon.
Sharon tries to slide away, but is blocked by Dr. Cappano.
DR. CAPPANO
(continuing)
You do realize you are the only
woman here among all of us men?
SHARON
Let go of me.
DR. CAPPANO
Who are you going to tell? Do you
think anyone will care? There’s
no police or law of any kind anymore.
Dr. Cappano slowly pulls the zipper on Sharon’s jumpsuit down to just below her chest.
DR. CAPPANO
(continuing)
It would be easier on everyone if
you just cooperated.
Dr. Cappano easily catches Sharon’s arm as she swings it at him and twists it behind her back. He forcefully kisses her and slides his hand inside her jumpsuit.
The lights flicker in the room as Dr. Cappano breaks off the kiss and YELPS in pain from Sharon biting his lip.

Ow! You bitch!
Sharon frees herself from Dr. Cappano’s grasp and runs toward the door of the archives room.
INT. HALLWAY - EVENING
Adam heads down the hallway just outside the archives room. He reaches the intersection of the hallway and a scantily clad attractive woman darts in front of him.
The woman radiates playfulness as she SHRIEKS with one of the scientists chasing after her.
Adam is bewildered.
ADAM
All right.
Adam rounds a corner of the hallway and bumps into Dr. Cappano who is holding a handkerchief to his bloody lip.
ADAM
(continuing)
What happened to you?
DR. CAPPANO
I just got it on with that girl
from archives. Apparently, she
likes it rough.
Adam grabs Dr. Cappano and shoves him up against the wall.
ADAM
That girl is named Sharon and
she’s my fiancée.
Dr. Cappano head butts Adam in the head and sweeps his leg under Adam’s to knock him flat on his back to the floor. Dr. Cappano kneels and holds his arm against Adam’s throat to hold him down to the floor.

DR. CAPPANO
Relax! I didn’t know. I guess your
fiancée is taking advantage of the
fact that she’s the only girl here.
Dr. Cappano stands.
ADAM
You’re lying!
DR. CAPPANO
I don’t care what you believe.
Dr. Cappano pulls out a pair of white panties from his lab coat.
DR. CAPPANO
(continuing)
Either way, you can give these back
to her. She forgot them.
Dr. Cappano throws the panties at Adam. Dr. Cappano turns and continues walking down the hallway.
The lights flicker as Adam sits up and grasps the panties.
INT. MEDICAL UNIT - EVENING
Adam enters the medical unit while rubbing the cut on his forehead from the head butt by Dr. Cappano. He is surprised as he sees Dr. McClury sitting on one of the cots kissing a young attractive woman.
ADAM
Oh, I’m sorry.
Dr. McClury breaks off his kiss with the woman.
DR. MCCLURY
(to the woman)
Just give me a moment.
Dr. McClury gets up from the cot and hurries over to Adam.
DR. MCCLURY
Hey, Adam. What’s up?

ADAM
(quietly)
I didn’t mean to interrupt you
and...your wife.
DR. MCCLURY
Oh, that’s not my wife. That’s
Miss November. I thought I’d
upgrade.
ADAM
Oh,...okay. Listen, I was just
looking for a band aid.
DR. MCCLURY
Yeah, that looks like a nasty cut.
How did you get it?
Adam looks away as he rubs his forehead.
ADAM
I...I just bumped my head on part
of the cyclotron.
DR. MCCLURY
I hate when that happens.
Dr. McClury seems perplexed as he scans the medical unit for band aids.
DR. MCCLURY
There they are.
Adam looks over at a counter where Dr. McClury is pointing.
ADAM
Thanks.
DR. MCCLURY
No, problem. Now if you’ll excuse me.
Dr. McClury heads back to the cot with the woman.
Adam walks over to the counter and takes a band aid from a plastic container sitting on it. As he puts the band aid on his

head he glances over at the woman.
Adam pulls out the white panties that Dr. Cappano claimed belonged to Sharon from the inside pocket of his lab coat. He notices that they are the same kind the woman is wearing.
ADAM
(calling)
Dr. McClury.
Dr. McClury breaks off his kiss with woman and looks over at Adam.
ADAM
(continuing)
You know where I could find more
underwear for women we bring back?
DR. MCCLURY
There’s a bin full of underwear by
the door.
Adam seems relieved as he nods.
INT. HOLOGRAPH ROOM - LATE AFTERNOON
The door to the holograph room slides open as Sharon hurries into the room.
SHARON
Adam!
Sharon surveys the room only to see Dr. Francisco standing at the holographic table.
DR. FRANCISCO
Is there a problem my dear?
Sharon pulls out a disc from her pocket and holds it.
SHARON
You’re the problem. I found a nice
little deposit into the funds for
your project from the North Korean
government.

DR. FRANCISCO
It was in exchange for me making
them the official army of our new
government.
SHARON
You’ll never get away with this.
DR. FRANCISCO
I already have. And it’s mainly due
to Adam.
SHARON
We’ll stop you.
Dr. Francisco LAUGHS as he cautiously approaches Sharon.
DR. FRANCISCO
We who? You and Adam? I feel you
think to highly of your partnership
with my nephew.
Sharon lowers her hand holding the disc.
SHARON
He loves me.
DR. FRANCISCO
Is that why he brought me back before
you?
Sharon seems doubtful momentarily.
DR. FRANCISCO
Think about it. He brought me back
first because I’m the one that can
help him with his career, not you.
SHARON
Now I know you’re full of shit.
If you knew Adam as well as you
think you do, you would know that
his career isn’t the main priority
in his life.

Sharon slowly backs up to the door of the cyclotron room with Dr. Francisco cautiously watching her.
SHARON
Adam and I are going to put an
end to this madness.
The door to the cyclotron room slides open as Sharon reaches it with her back facing it. Suddenly, Dr. Cappano grabs Sharon from behind and plunges a hypodermic needle into her neck.
Sharon slumps unconscious into Dr. Cappano’s arms.
DR. FRANCISCO
Take care of her.
Dr. Cappano hoists Sharon over his shoulders.
INT. CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - EARLY EVENING
The door of the cyclotron room opens as Adam enters into it.
Dr. Francisco is standing at the computer console along with
Dr. McClury.
DR. FRANCISCO
I heard you bumped your head. Are
you alright?
ADAM
Yeah, it’s nothing.
DR. FRANCISCO
Well then, come over here. We’re
about to test your work bringing
multiple people back.
ADAM
Wait! I wasn’t finished with my
calculations.
DR. FRANCISCO
That’s alright. Dr. McClury finished
it up for you.

Dr. McClury exudes with confidence as he looks over at Adam.
Dr. Francisco places his tinted goggles on with Adam and
Dr. McClury following suit. Dr. Francisco pushes a button on the computer console.
INSERT - CYCLOTRON
A WHIRRING SOUND is heard instead of a clanging sound as the inner cylinder moves slowly inside the cyclotron.
BACK TO SCENE
ADAM
At least that’s improved.
Dr. Francisco pushes another button on the computer console.
INSERT - CYCLOTRON
An already formed graviton ring floats in the middle of the cyclotron.
BACK TO SCENE
The lights flicker in the room as Dr. Francisco pulls the lever back on the computer console.
INSERT - CYCLOTRON
The cyclotron accelerates even faster. A LOUD CLUNKING sound is heard coming from within it as the dividers rip off the walls of the cyclotron.
BACK TO SCENE
Adam and Dr. McClury rush to the broken window of the room to check on the cyclotron.
ADAM
(to Dr. Francisco)
Shut it down!
Adam and Dr. McClury cover their eyes and turn away from the cyclotron as a brilliant flash of light emits from the window of

the cyclotron before Dr. Francisco can comply with Adam’s request. The room becomes silent as the light disappears.
DR. FRANCISCO
What happened?
Adam and Dr. McClury look back down at the cyclotron.
ADAM
The dividers were ripped apart.
(beat)
We’d better check out the damage.
Adam hurries to the door of the cyclotron room.
Dr. Francisco glances over at Dr. McClury who seems bewildered.
INT. BASE OF CYCLOTRON - EARLY EVENING
Scientists huddle around the base of the cyclotron trying to figure out what went wrong.
The door at the bottom of the cyclotron room opens as Adam rushes in with Dr. Francisco and Dr. McClury following behind him.
A THUNDEROUS BANG is heard coming from inside the cyclotron.
DR. MCCLURY
What the hell was that?
The door to the bottom of the cyclotron room is opened as a handful of guards hurry into the room. The guards draw their weapons as they gather in front of the door to the cyclotron.
DR. FRANCISCO
Open the door slowly.
A guard slowly pulls open the door of the cyclotron. He cautiously peeks into the cyclotron.
Suddenly, two pairs of arms grab him and pull him into the cyclotron. The guard’s SHRIEKS are heard coming from inside it.

DR. FRANCISCO
(shouting)
Don’t shoot the cyclotron! Wait until
it comes out.
The guards ready their guns as a monstrous looking thing comes out that looks like two people were smashed together. The thing lets out a loud ROAR.
The guards open FIRE on the thing causing it to SCREAM. The thing dematerializes and collapses into a pile of ashes.
DR. FRANCISCO
(to the guards)
Good work men.
Dr. McClury takes a swig from his flask.
DR. MCCLURY
Let’s get this cleaned up.
DR. FRANCISCO
We’ll try again tomorrow.
Dr. Francisco makes his way through the scientists and guards to the door of the room.
Adam hurries to catch up to Dr. Francisco.
INT. CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - EARLY EVENING
Dr. Francisco is shutting down the equipment in the cyclotron control room as Adam enters into it.
ADAM
Who were those people?
DR. FRANCISCO
Nobody important.
ADAM
They were important to somebody.
(beat)
I’m done with this.

DR. FRANCISCO
Not if you care about your fiancée’s
safety.
ADAM
What did you to her?
DR. FRANCISCO
Nothing...yet. It will stay that
way until you complete this project.
ADAM
Where is she?
DR. FRANCISCO
She is being kept somewhere safe for
now. Don’t worry I’m sure Dr. Cappano
will take very good care of her.
Dr. Francisco heads toward the door of the cyclotron control room.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
You should focus your energy on how
to fix the cyclotron if you want to
save your fiancée.
The door to the cyclotron control room slides open and
Dr. Francisco leaves.
Adam seems to develop a headache as he turns to look at the cyclotron.
ADAM’S POV
The cyclotron appears as if it is looking back at Adam with a sinister expression on the face of it.
INT. ANIMAL LAB - EARLY EVENING
The animal lab is a small rectangular sized room with several metallic cages stacked on top of one another containing various animals including dogs, mice, and monkeys remaining relatively quiet.

Sharon lays curled up in the fetal position unconscious in one of the bottom cages. Sharon slowly wakes to see she is locked in a cage.
Sharon is only able to sit up in the small cage. She looks down at herself wearing only her white bra and panties.
DR. CAPPANO
Look who’s finally awake.
Sharon looks outside the cage to see Dr. Cappano sitting on top of the operating table with her jumpsuit folded neatly next to him as he gawks at her. She pulls her knees up to her chest and folds her arms on top of them to cover herself.
SHARON
Why are you doing this to me?
DR. CAPPANO
To keep your boyfriend in line.
SHARON
You mean so he’ll do your dirty work.
Dr. Cappano hops off the operating table and stands on the floor.
SHARON
(continuing)
Did you know Dr. Francisco is
bringing back a North Korean Army?
DR. CAPPANO
Of course I did. It was my suggestion.
They’ve funded some of my previous...
experiments.
Dr. Cappano steps closer to Sharon’s cage and kneels down in front of it.
DR. CAPPANO
(softly)
You know it doesn’t have to be this
way.

Sharon wipes tears welling up in her eyes.
DR. CAPPANO
(continuing)
You just have to cooperate.
SHARON
(quietly)
Okay.
Dr. Cappano stands and reaches behind one of the cages. He pulls out an electric prod stick. He knocks it against one of the cages causing a SPARK.
DR. CAPPANO
Just so you think of trying anything.
Dr. Cappano unlocks the door to Sharon’s cage. He pulls Sharon out and aggressively kisses her. Dr. Cappano shoves Sharon up against the stacked cages causing the animals to be RILED.
Sharon reaches up to the cage above her.
Dr. Cappano pulls Sharon away from the cages and pushes her back against the operating table.
DR. CAPPANO
(continuing)
I bet it was never good like this
with your boyfriend.
Suddenly, a monkey from one of the cages Sharon opened jumps onto the back of Dr. Cappano.
DR. CAPPANO
(yelling)
What the hell!
Dr. Cappano drops the electric prod stick to the floor as he wrestles with trying to get the monkey off of him.
Sharon grabs her clothes and gets dressed. As she attempts to escape the room, Dr. Cappano grabs her and rips part of her clothes.

Sharon picks up the electric prod stick. She jabs it into
Dr. Cappano several times causing him to YELL as ELECTRIC SHOCKS are heard. Sharon stands over Dr. Cappano as he falls to the floor unconscious with the monkey scurrying away from him.
SHARON
I hope that was good for you.
Sharon displays satisfaction as she looks down at Dr. Cappano.
INT. OFFICE CORRIDOR - NIGHT
Adam stares ahead of himself while marching down the dimly lit corridor. He shows glee as he sees Sharon running towards him.
ADAM
Sharon!
SHARON
Adam!
Adam and Sharon run to one another and embrace.
ADAM
What did they do to you?
SHARON
It’s not important.
Sharon wipes away tears in her eyes.
SHARON
(continuing)
What is important is that you
stop your uncle. He’s planning
on bringing back a North Korean
army to use for himself.
ADAM
You have to hide for now so my
uncle doesn’t know you got away.
What happened to Dr. Cappano?
SHARON
I locked him in an animal cage.

It’s a long story. I’ll tell you
after we stop your uncle.

So what are you going to do?
ADAM
Don’t worry, I have a plan.
Sharon seems concerned as she looks at Adam.
INT. HOLOGRAPH ROOM - MORNING
Dr. Francisco slams his hand on the holographic table as watches a holographic image.
INSERT - HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGE
The holographic image of the cyclotron rips apart.
BACK TO SCENE
ADAM
I figured it out.
DR. FRANCISCO
I’m listening.
Adam walks up to the holographic table and taps a few buttons on it.
ADAM
Did you know the cyclotron room
sits above a storage warehouse?
DR. FRANCISCO
No, I didn’t.
Adam continues to push buttons on the holographic table.

If we feed lines from the cyclotron
down into the warehouse, we can
avoid the cyclotron ripping apart
any kind of partitions inside of it.
Dr. Francisco ponders Adam’s idea.
ADAM
(continuing)
And this way you can still separate
the graviton ring into separate
strands.
DR. FRANCISCO
We should get to work on building this
right away.
(beat)
See what you can accomplish when you
focus on the work before you.
ADAM
I’ve never been so focused.
Adam oozes with determination.

I hope so. I just want this
nightmare to be over.

I sometimes dream of what is was
like before you brought me back.
Sharon snuggles her body closer to Adam’s.
SHARON
(continuing)
It was so peaceful and pleasant. I
felt like I was floating high above
the clouds in the bright sunlight.
Sharon turns her head to look back at Adam.
SHARON
(continuing)
It was just like heaven.

You know I’ve talked to other’s we

Well, there was no fire and brimstone.
SHARON
Still, it’s the opposite of what
it was for me.
Sharon props up herself with her elbow.

(continuing)
Who said they experienced it as
a cold dark place?
ADAM
The bad people.
Sharon and Adam sit up quickly on the cot as they hear FOOTSTEPS approaching. Sharon hops off the cot and ducks behind a changing curtain.
Adam turns his attention to the doorway of the medical unit as he sees Dr. McClury enter.
DR. MCCLURY
Your uncle said it’s ready.
ADAM
Tell him I’ll be right there.
Dr. McClury scans the medical unit causing Adam to show concern.

Adam relaxes as he stands up from the cot.
ADAM
I thought she was Ms. November?
DR. MCCLURY
Oh, I brought back the whole calendar.
Dr. McClury seems irritated.

She’s probably with Dr. Cappano.
He always had a thing for brunettes.
(beat)
Anyway, I’ll meet you up there.
Adam watches Dr. McClury as he leaves.
ADAM
(to Sharon)
He’s gone.
Sharon comes out from hiding behind the changing curtain and walks over to Adam.
SHARON
Be careful.
ADAM
I will. And you stay out of sight.
Adam leans forward and kisses Sharon on the lips.
INT. CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - EVENING
Adam types on his laptop computer as the door to the cyclotron control room slides open with Dr. Francisco entering into it.

They’re all prepped in the storage
warehouse.
Dr. Francisco puts a radio communicator on top of the computer console.
ADAM
We’re all set here.
DR. FRANCISCO
What group of people are you bringing
back?
ADAM
Nobody important.
DR. FRANCISCO
Now you’re getting it.
ADAM
Yeah, I finally am.
DR. FRANCISCO
Safety goggles on.
Dr. Francisco and Adam put on their tinted safety goggles.
Dr. Francisco pushes a button on the computer console.

warehouse with a laundry bin of jumpsuits next to them.

SERIES OF SHOTS
A) The acceleration of the cyclotron causes and EARPIERCING
WHIRRING SOUND as the graviton ring splits apart.
B) Multiple graviton strands feed through the tubes at the base
of the cyclotron.
C) Intense light flashes in the storage warehouse revealing
about thirty people lying naked on the floor as the
scientists rush over to them.
BACK TO SCENE
Dr. Francisco picks up the radio and speaks into it.
DR. FRANCISCO
Dr. McClury?
Dr. Francisco listens to VOICE OVER Dr. McClury on the radio.
DR. MCCLURY (V. O.)
It’s a success. Everyone is okay.
DR. FRANCISCO
Excellent. I’ll be down in a moment.
Dr. Francisco turns to Adam.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
I’m proud of you, Adam.
ADAM
You inspired me.
DR. FRANCISCO
Well, I’m going downstairs to see how
everyone is doing.

ADAM
Okay,...and I’ll checkout all the
computer diagnostics.
Dr. Francisco heads to the door and leaves the room as the door slides open.
Adam seems relieved.
INT. STORAGE WAREHOUSE - EVENING
The large spacious warehouse is now filled with scientists and guards helping people get dressed. Dr. McClury converses with one of the men who just returned, named Tyler, as he gets dressed.
TYLER
That’s an incredible story.
DR. MCCLURY
So what’s your name?
TYLER
Tyler. Lieutenant Tyler.
Dr. McClury becomes uneasy.
DR. MCCLURY
A lieutenant in what?
TYLER
The police department. It looks
like you brought back my whole department.
DR. MCCLURY
Well, I’ll let you get reacquainted
with your men while I, uh...prepare
to bring more people back.
TYLER
Okay, well, good meeting you.
Dr. McClury appears more nervous as he hurries toward the exit of the warehouse.

INT. OFFICE CORRIDOR - NIGHT
Dr. Francisco looks joyful as he swaggers down the office corridor away from the cyclotron room.
Only a lone guard is on duty in the office corridor.
Dr. McClury hurries down the corridor towards Dr. Francisco.
DR. FRANCISCO
Is there something wrong?
DR. MCCLURY
Yeah, your nephew just screwed us
over.
DR. FRANCISCO
What are you talking about? I
thought you said it was a success.
DR. MCCLURY
Oh, it was. He successfully
brought back a police department.
DR. FRANCISCO
He thinks he outsmarted me. Me?
Dr. Francisco radiates with anger.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
We need to send them back and get rid
of Adam. He’s no longer of any use
to us since he perfected our project.
Dr. Francisco looks over at the guard and steps over to him.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
Guard, hand over your weapon. We
need it for official company business.
GUARD
I’m sorry doctor. I’m not permitted
to just hand over...

Suddenly, Dr. Cappano comes up on the side of the guard and slugs him in the face with his fist. Cappano leans over the unconscious guard and takes the gun from his holster.
Dr. Francisco and Dr. McClury are bewildered upon seeing
Dr. Cappano’s disheveled appearance.
DR. MCCLURY
What the hell happen to you?
DR. CAPPANO
That bitch.
DR. FRANCISCO
That explains why Adam was so bold
to pull that stunt.
Dr. Cappano hands the gun to Dr. Francisco.
DR. FRANCISCO
Let’s go finish this once and for
all.
Dr. Francisco heads back to the cyclotron room with Dr. Cappano and Dr. McClury in tow.
INT. CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - NIGHT
Dr. Francisco, Dr. Cappano, and Dr. McClury enter the room.
Dr. Francisco aims the gun at Adam.
ADAM
What are you doing?
DR. FRANCISCO
Nice try. I know you brought back
an entire police force. What makes
you think they’re going to arrest us?
ADAM
They’ll arrest you for murdering
Dr. Bell, treason, and conspiring
to rid the world of billions of
people.

DR. FRANCISCO
You make it sound so bad. It’s all
for a good cause.
ADAM
Yeah, your cause.
DR. FRANCISCO
You know, I’ve tried to cut you some
slack because you’re my nephew,...
but I think it’s time for some tough
love.
The door to the room slides open as Sharon darts inside and over to Adam.
SHARON
Adam!
Sharon jumps into Adam’s arms as Dr. Francisco FIRES the gun. The laser from the gun dematerializes Sharon into a pile of ashes.
A look of horror overcomes Adam as he gazes at Sharon’s ashes.
He lunges at Dr. Francisco knocking him against the wall.
Dr. Cappano and Dr. McClury grab Adam and pull him off of
Dr. Francisco.
ADAM
I swear to God, you’ll pay for this.
Adam struggles to free himself.
DR. FRANCISCO
Your mother would be so disappointed.
Dr. Francisco hands the gun to Cappano.
DR. FRANCISCO
(to Cappano)
Show him how Dr. Bell had his accident.
while I prepare to bring back our army.
Adam is dragged away in the clutches of Dr. McClury and

INT. OFFICE CORRIDOR - NIGHT
Dr. Cappano and Dr. McClury lead Adam down the office corridor away from the cyclotron room.
DR. CAPPANO
It’s too bad about your little
fiancée. I was hoping to get to
...know her better.
Adam shoves Dr. McClury to side into the wall and tackles
Dr. Cappano into the opposite wall.
Dr. Cappano hits Adam on the back of his head with the gun causing Adam to drop to the floor.
DR. CAPPANO
(to McClury)
Pick him up!
Dr. McClury yanks Adam to his feet.
Dr. Cappano points the gun at Adam as they continue walking.
DR. CAPPANO
Maybe we’ll just finish you here
instead...
Suddenly, the guard from before comes around the corner and punches Dr. Cappano in jaw knocking him unconscious to the floor.
Adam shoves McClury again and knocks him out as well with a punch.
The guard picks up the gun from the floor and glares down at
Dr. Cappano.
GUARD
How do you like getting sucker
punched?

ADAM
Nice shot.
GUARD
What the hell is going on here?
ADAM
You need to get as many guns as
you can from the security room
and give them to the police that
we’re just brought back.
Adam glances down at Dr. Cappano and Dr. McClury.
ADAM
(continuing)
And round up all of these lunatic
scientists.
Adam turns and marches back up the corridor toward the cyclotron room.
GUARD
Where are you going?
ADAM
I need to make things right.
(beat)
Make sure you have your radio on.
I’ll be calling you to make sure
it works.
The guard turns his attention back to the fallen scientists.
INT. CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - NIGHT
Adam enters the cyclotron control room. He picks up a piece of debris from the floor and WHACKS Dr. Francisco on the back knocking him to the floor.
Adam tosses the debris to the side and walks up to the computer console.
DR. FRANCISCO
What are you doing?

ADAM
I’m doing what you wanted me to
do all along.
DR. FRANCISCO
What do you mean?
ADAM
I’m taking a great risk.
Dr. Francisco seems worry as he gazes at Adam pressing a button on the computer console.
INSERT - CYCLOTRON
The cyclotron activates making an already formed graviton ring appear inside of it.
BACK TO SCENE
DR. FRANCISCO
I don’t understand what you’re doing.
ADAM
I guess you’re not as smart as you
think.
DR. FRANCISCO
Adam, stop this at once!
ADAM
Scientists over the centuries have
made the greatest discoveries by
accident.
Dr. Francisco becomes anxious.
ADAM
(continuing)
Your greed for power has blinded
you to the answer that has been
discovered to the most asked
question ever.
Adam pulls the lever on the computer console causing a LOUD

WHIRRING sound to be heard.
DR. FRANCISCO
What question?
ADAM
Does heaven and hell exist?
DR. FRANCISCO
Well?
ADAM
I’m about to prove it.
Adam presses a button on the computer console.
INSERT - CYCLOTRON
An EARPIERCING WHIRRING SOUND emits from the cyclotron as the graviton ring splits apart and a brilliant flash of light encompasses the room.
BACK TO SCENE
All is still as Adam picks up the radio from the computer console.
ADAM
It’s a basic science principle.
Energy is neither created or
destroyed only transferred.
Dr. Francisco stands.
ADAM
(continuing)
A person’s soul is energy. We
just never knew where it went...
until now.
Adam speaks into the radio.
ADAM
(continuing)
Guard?

Adam looks deeply concerned.
INT. STORAGE WAREHOUSE - NIGHT
The guard speaks into the radio.
GUARD
She’s fine.
The guard looks down at the naked body of Sharon lying on the floor.
A couple of police officers kneel down to aide Sharon.
INT. CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - NIGHT
Adam seems relieved as he puts the radio back down on the computer console.
DR. FRANCISCO
You brought back Sharon.
Dr. Francisco’s radiates enthusiasm.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
Do you know what this means? You
could bring back anybody you want.
Einstein, Lincoln,...the list is
endless.
ADAM
There’s also the other option.
DR. FRANCISCO
What other option?
Adam presses a button on the computer console activating the cyclotron.
ADAM
Or I can send someone back.
Adam pulls the lever on the computer console.

What are you doing?
Dr. Francisco glances over at the computer screen.

BACK TO SCENE
Dr. Francisco shows immense fear.
DR. FRANCISCO
(continuing)
Adam, no!
Dr. Francisco turns and hurries out of the room.
ADAM
Go to hell.
Adam presses a button on the computer console.
SERIES OF SHOTS
A) A graviton strand bends to form a complete graviton ring.
B) A burst of light envelops Dr. Francisco as he runs down the
office corridor.
C) The electrical conductors become unstable leaking with large
quantities of plutonium.
BACK TO SCENE
Adam gazes at the cyclotron. He turns his attention to the door of the room as it slides open.
ADAM
Sharon.
Adam’s beams with joy as he sees Sharon enter. She rushes into his arms.
ADAM
Why did you jump in front of me?

SHARON
Because I love you.
ADAM
After we bring everyone else
back...we have to destroy this
along with any notes about it.
Suddenly, an alarm BLARES and reds lights flash.
Adam glances over at the computer screen.
SHARON
What’s going on?
ADAM
There’s a plutonium leak in the
electrical conductors.
SHARON
How do we stop it?
ADAM
We don’t. We have to evacuate.
Adam grasps Sharon’s hand and leads her out of the cyclotron control room.
SERIES OF SHOTS
A) The policemen and guards flee the storage warehouse with the
scientists in tow.
B) Adam and Sharon rush down a hallway.
C) Other people scattered throughout the Lotron building rush
to the exit doors.
EXT. PARKING LOT - NIGHT
Adam and Sharon hurry to the far end of the parking lot as the BLARING of the alarm can still be heard. They run up a small hill at the end of the parking lot and spot other people exiting the building.

Over here!
The people look up at Adam and Sharon and head over to them. As they reach them a LOUD EXPLOSION is heard from within the Lotron Building.
SHARON
Look out!
Everyone ducks for cover on the ground and behind some cars.
INSERT - LOTRON BUILDING
Part of the Lotron building CRUMBLES to the ground creating a cloud of dust and debris.
BACK TO SCENE
They all stand to their feet and gaze at the severely damaged building.
SCIENTIST #1
(shouting)
Now what do we do?
The people MUTTER to each other.
TYLER
Everyone settle down. Now who’s
been in charge here?
Adam and Sharon look down into the crowd.
Dr. McClury and Dr. Cappano are held in restraints by the guards within the crowd.
GUARD
Well, he told me to what to do
before.
Everyone looks up to Adam as the guard points to him.

TYLER
(to Adam)
Okay. What’s your name sir?
ADAM
Adam. Dr. Adam Meyers.
TYLER
Well, Dr. Meyers, what is our next
plan of action.
Adam turns to Sharon.
ADAM
(whispering)
What do I say?
SHARON
(whispering)
Just go with what you would do.
You’ve been making a lot of good
choices lately.
Adam looks back down at the crowd.
ADAM
We need to clear that debris and
rebuild the cyclotron so we can
bring back everyone else.
(beat)
And we need everyone’s help.
The crowd remains motionless as they stare at him.
Dr. Cappano and Dr. McClury exchange smarmy looks with one another as no one moves.
TYLER
You heard the man.
GUARD
Yeah, let’s get to work.
Dr. Cappano and Dr. McClury seem bewildered as the crowd complies with Adam.

Adam and Sharon watch the crowd head back to the building. Sharon turns to Adam.
SHARON
Maybe your uncle had the right idea.
He just picked the wrong scientist
to lead.
Adam beams with confidence as Sharon kisses his cheek.
